As a practitioner, you will learn advanced asanas, strategic alignment and intelligent sequencing that will increase your dexterity and elevate your asana practice.
As a teacher, you will learn great many strategies that will make you confident, excited and ready to take your students to the next level.
Strategic alignment, effective sequences, creative use of props and pose-as-project approach, that will make Natarajasana, Visvamitrasana, Mayurasana, Adho Mukha Vrksasana press-ups, Drop-backs, Eka Pada Galavasana, Vrischcikasana, Pincha Mayurasana variations and other postures and transitions more accessible and fun.
How to sequence and teach advanced poses effectively, skilfully and without over-exhausting your self or your students. You will improve your vision and assessment of the postural refinements and modification according to the individual needs.
How to deconstruct advanced poses into their key challenging elements, and design an optimal strategy for each part, always keeping in mind the different body types of your students. This will enable you to teach amazing mixed-level classes, where every student will experience increase in strength and dexterity, regardless of their level of practice.
Teachers will have a chance to learn and practice assisting students in a number of inversions, and helping them go into drop-backs.
This workshop is ideal for students who want to elevate their practice and for teachers who are truly dedicated to learning and increasing the quality of their teaching.
Teachers will receive a rich manual on sequencing and teaching strategies.
The hours of study count towards Yoga Alliance International continuing education, as well as towards the continuing Maya Yoga - Advanced Yoga Teacher Training 300hrs, leading to RYT-500 Yoga Alliance International.
